The YMCA feels that quality child care is a crucial component to addressing broad societal goals and should be accessible to all.
Playing to Learn is a YMCA child care curriculum we use to deliver on our promise to improve the quality of programs and services provided to children everyday. Continuous training of our early childhood educators employed by the YMCA enhances the quality of programs and services provided to children in our care.
We believe that this is the best approach to ensure a child’s continued enthusiasm and capacity for life-long learning. Our curriculum offers a foundation for learning to read and write, and for learning mathematics, science and technology. It also provides early childhood educators with the skills to prepare spaces that are conducive to learning which encourage quality learning experiences.
